We’re proud to be one of the few remaining genuine commercial furniture manufacturers in New Zealand. Everything, from steelwork to upholstery and assembly, is completed under one roof at our Onehunga facility. While we do import some components, we carefully select suppliers and ensure everything complies with New Zealand’s strict quality, safety, and environmental standards.
We use locally sourced raw materials wherever possible, including steel from New Zealand Tube Mills, aluminium from Ulrich, and sustainably grown pine. We’re open and transparent about our processes so you can have complete confidence in the products we make.

Our story began in the early 1960s in a small Parnell workshop. What started with handcrafted timber furniture grew into a business that also offered joinery, steel fabrication, upholstery, and custom project work.
By the late 1980s, we’d moved to a purpose-built facility in Onehunga, where every part of our business now operates under one roof. This setup allows us to design, manufacture, and deliver complete solutions with agility and accountability.
In 2016, Clifton and Kim Webb took the lead, placing collaboration and sustainability at the heart of BFG. Their vision continues to drive us today, ensuring everything we create proudly carries the mark of New Zealand quality.
What does BFG do?
BFG is a New Zealand commercial furniture and workspace fit-out company that designs, manufactures, and installs customised office interiors. Our company produces furniture in-house and manages the sourcing and installation of complete workspace fit-out solutions. We provide fit-out solutions for offices, corporate workspaces, meeting areas, collaborative spaces, reception areas, breakout zones, and other environments like healthcare, and education sectors.
Can office furniture be customised?
Yes. Many companies choose custom furniture so it fits their workspace layout, brand identity, and functional needs. Custom manufacturing also allows better use of space. Since we manufacture a large portion of our products in our Onehunga factory we can work with clients to build custom and bespoke furniture for their needs.
How long does a fit-out take?
The timeline for an office fit-out depends on the size and complexity of the project. Smaller office installations may take a few weeks, while larger commercial projects can take several months.
Can BFG source furniture from other brands?
Yes. In addition to manufacturing furniture, BFG can source and supply commercial furniture products from a range of suppliers to complete a workspace fit-out. Working with a single company simplifies project management, ensures design consistency, and helps coordinate manufacturing, sourcing, and installation more efficiently.
